Themed Nursery Rhymes
There are many different nursery rhymes centred on animals, jungle and mini-beasts that can adapted easily with the Story Massage strokes. So we have chosen two of the most popular. You can download them by clicking on their names.
Animal and Jungle Themed Massage Stories
These two massage stories are perfect for helping curriculum topics come come alive and increase engagement and communication. Try adding sensory props too. You are welcome to use them just as they are, or as templates for adding your own ideas or making them more personal for an individual or class. Lolli Ladybird Sensory Story
We were absolutely delighted to be part of a series of podcasts with the wonderful Pete Wells, The Sensory Storyteller. More about the Story Massage Programme
The Story Massage Programme combines the benefits of positive, respectful touch with the creativity and engagement of rhymes, songs and stories. Ten simple massage strokes form the basis of the programme. These strokes have a child friendly name, such as The Circle or The Sprinkle, and an easy to recognise symbol. It is a fully inclusive activity, no clothing is removed and no oil is used.
